BYE SEMESTER 9!!!

Hello reader! It was a wonderful week, wasn't it? I did love all of the presentations and activities. You always get me if there's a prize hehe. Well, we reviewed some stuff about grammar, listening and reading comprehension, and vocabulary in all the levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced. 

1. Advanced grammar by Regina's group 💥

To begin with, we did a little funny dance and we also sang (sort of lol) Then, they explained the second conditional: if + past simple, ...would + infinitive. This one is used to talk about things in the future that are probably not going to be true.
 

2. Reading comprehension intermediate.

This group showed us a story and then gave us some questions :)


3. Basic vocabulary by Fatima's group 👽

The first activity was mimics using words related to college, for instance: study, read, student, etc. Later on, we played the hangman guessing animal names. It was pretty easy.

 4. Pronunciation intermediate by Steffany's group 💚

So we reviewed the phonetic chart and the activity was saying some tongue twisters.

5. Listening comprehension by Enrique's group 😎

We heard a pre-recorded audio about a little story and then answered some questions 8) AH! we also played chinese whispers and it was a total fail lol.


6. Reading comprehension by Gigi's group 💝

In this case, we read an article talking about how big chains of supermarkets contribute to the damage of the environment. Pretty interesting I must say!!!

7. Grammar intermediate by Cindy's group 

We did a pretty sick activity which consisted of making a list of verbs in past tense. My group won with 12 words in total.👅

First week of classes

Hi there! My name is Alejandra López, but my friends call me Ale.☄ I don't know about you but I'm turning 22 this year, and I'm pretty excited about it!★🎸🎧⋆｡ °⋆  I enjoy listening to music; my favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Björk, among others. THE SILENT WAY METHOD

I found out that your birthday was last week 👀 so I hope you've had an amazing day; sending my best wishes for ya!💗 So in this past week, we learned a new method:  The Silent Way Method Gabeb Gattegno, who was an Egyptian mathematician and educator, founded The Silent Way in 1970. It is based on three main points: discovery, problem-solving in TL and uses of physical tools. Principles: 1. Teachers should concentrate on how students learn, not on how to teach. 2. Imitation and drill are not the primary means by which students learn. 3. Learning consists of trial and error, deliberate experimentation, suspending judgement, and revising conclusions. 4.
